Katie joined GATC in February 2008 with many years of successful, competitive swimming and coaching experience from the high school, collegiate and master's levels. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Education in Community Health, and was an All-American on the UNL collegiate swim team. Katie was also honored with the award of Academic All-Big Eight Swim Team. In addition to her involvement in the aquatics industry, Katie owned and operated her own massage and wellness therapy business in the Denver area for over 8 years. She attended the Colorado School of Healing Arts and has held Certificates in Massage Therapy and Sports Massage Therapy.

David Lee - Masters Swim Coach

David was born and raised in Minnesota where he began swimming competitively at age six. After becoming a state high school champion as a swimmer, he attended the University of New Mexico on a full athletic scholarship. He was a top 20 NCAA swimmer and a member of a nationally ranked water polo team in college. After college, David coached swimming and water polo on the age group and High School level before spending three years overseas as a teacher in the Peace Corps. He holds a BA in Philosophy and an MBA in Finance. After spending many years in the banking and real estate industry he began devoting all his time to coaching and teaching swimming in 2006. David was always drawn back to the water and swam, taught and coached on a part-time basis throughout his entire professional career. Over the years he has coached many competitive swimmers, master’s swimmers and tri-athletes with great success. He is current on the latest developments in swimming and loves teaching.
